This course will provide an overview of clinical informatics (the application of informatics to deliver health care), geared towards the researcher who may wish to use clinical informatics in their projects while maintaining scientific rigor in implementation, measurement, evaluation, and health equity. Topics will include electronic health records, clinical decision support, data standards and systems, human factors engineering, clinical informatics policy, and the application of artificial intelligence in clinical informatics.
