Section outline

  • Lecture: Contingency tables, McNemar's test, relative risks, and odds ratios
In this lecture we will discuss the construction of contingency tables and learn the chi-square test for independence for examining categorical data. We will start with 2x2 tables and move to larger tables, and we will discuss relative risks and odds ratios and calculate confidence intervals for these measures. We will discuss the use of McNemar’s test to examine paired dichotomous data.
