  • Welcome to the Interprofessional Standardized Patient Exercise (ISPE)! The ISPE is a required exercise for students from the UCSF Schools of Dentistry, Medicine, Nursing, Pharmacy, and Physical Therapy. Additionally, interns from UCSF Nutrition, SFSU Nutrition, UCSF Chaplain, and SFSU Social Work will participate in the exercise as well. The Kanbar Simulation and Clinical Skills Learning Center will host three sessions each day during the week of April 30th to May 4th. 

    Learning Objectives:

    • Describe the roles, responsibilities, and abilities of different healthcare providers in the care of a patient with chronic illness.
    • Describe one's own professional role and abilities to other team members.
    • Communicate effectively with other healthcare professionals.
    • Develop a comprehensive team care plan for a patient with chronic illness in collaboration with other healthcare professionals.
    • Effectively give and receive constructive feedback.
