Assignment 7b

• Assignment 7b: Peer review of assigned 2 specific aims pages.  You will be sent 2 specific aims pages to review. For each, in a 1/2 page review (single spaced, .5 inch margins), discuss the following:

(1)  Significance: Does the project address an important problem or a critical barrier to progress in the field? If the aims of the project are achieved, how will scientific knowledge, technical capability, and/or clinical practice be improved? How will successful completion of the aims change the concepts, methods, technologies, treatments, services, or preventative interventions that drive this field?

(2)  Aims: Will the aims, if accomplished, move the candidate towards the long-term research aims laid out?

(3)  Training: Will the research aims provide an important training experience? Is it explicitly stated?

(4) Research plan -- if approach is included -- Is this clearly described?
