I am sharing my final project from last year as a sample. You don't have to format your work exactly to how I did mine. You can do it like a two-page proposal, a narrative, or however you think best you can write yours, this is just to show you how much information we put. I'll try and ask permission from the people in my group (last year) if I can share their work with you so you have more samples.
Again, just repeating Dr. John's instructions yesterday, we want to see how you plan on investigating your research topic with some of the techniques we discussed (or have not yet tackled - i.e. transcriptomics etc.). You can incorporate the literature reviews you've done through-out the course to argue why you would use this way or the other (i.e. prefer to do methylation than GWAS because...). Keep in mind that you will be giving feedback on each other's works for our last session.
