I wonder if SES is a confounder in patient education on CKD awareness. I see your point in that there may be a differential effect on educating patients, but I can't help but think SES affects the level of patient education one comes in with that may affect any additional education one provides.
(As an aside, your research sounds really interesting! I'm curious about how you will develop the risk prediction model, and which demographics and comorbidities you would include.)
