Hi Rebecca,
The free patient education class sounds like a great intervention, and it's exciting to hear that this opportunity is being offered for vulnerable patient populations at the General. I'm also really impressed by the insight and attention to social determinants demonstrated in the questions you are looking at in the part of the study you describe as second generation. Finally, I think it's a fantastic idea to incorporate an addiction specialist into a multidisciplinary care team for liver disease. This seems like an example of an intervention that can make the most difference for more vulnerable populations facing multiple barriers, as you describe. Really important work!
