Thank you for posting your answers. Your topic is very interesting - use of imaging in the ED. Is the imaging equipment available in all ED's? What can the MD see with the imaging device? What sorts of diagnoses can be made? I am curious b/c I wonder what they are trying to differentially dx with the equipment and if there is clinical thinking that the MD's think leads them to use the imaging with White or middle class patients more so than with Black / minority or poor patients. (The old - check for sickle cell if the person is Black b/c of the idea that they are more likely to have it, tho I believe this is incorrect?)
