Four things

Hello everyone:  1) I've posted a Word document with the scenarios and the answers that we discussed this morning. Thank you for some great interaction!

2) I think I said that the office manual project was due next Wednesday. I meant to say that it's due next FRIDAY.  I'll be in the clinic on Wednesday if you have any questions and/or you can e-mail me for any others.

3) To be more clear about not delivering a crown or other restorative/prosthodontic treatment in our clinic because of financial problems:  In past years, I on occasion  worked with Dr. Silva (our previous Clinic Director) to deliver the crown with temporary cement and/or keep the patient on regular appointments to ensure the quality of the temporary crown. I did just send an e-mail to our current clinic directors to advise them of the legal concern that we talked about today in class.

4 As another point of clarification, the discussion about the dental practice act in Arkansas (?) may need some investigation. The point was made that you can't practice general dentistry if you have an orthodontic specialty program certificate. Dr. Kowalski wants me to tell you that it's possible that some specialty programs do not require a general dentistry license for completion of that program.  Thus if you're not licensed as a general dentist, you can't practice general dentistry.

Dr. Centore and I wish you a wonderful weekend!       Dr DON
