Hello!
In the final few days of this class, I want to make sure that everyone understands the expectations of the final project. To ensure uniformity in grading and make things fair (and easy to grade), we have provided the attached final project guidance sheet (also uploaded to the website). It is encouraged that you follow this format to ensure your project is complete and not missing any information that may reduce your points. We want everyone to do well on this project and we want to be able to give as many points as we can!
As you can see, the final project should not be a direct copy and paste of your 3 components into one document, but should include slightly more information in some areas but not others - we don't need to know every step that you took to read in/clean the data as you presented for component 1, just briefly any MAJOR issues you had when doing so. We also do not expect a publishable report nor do we want a 20 page thesis, but it should contain elements that briefly guide a reader through the research question and results.
As usual, please feel free to e-mail us with any questions or comments. We will be available tomorrow during lab for final project questions.
