I'm looking forward to giving you a fresh new lecture tomorrow morning on Using Electronic Health Records for Research. Hope you'll like it.
The main focus of this week's small group session is to get help with your Final Project. Please read and follow instructions carefully for preparing and submitting your project. Give yourself plenty of time to navigate the website and upload the file! We are strict about the 5pm deadline on Monday Sept 11.
I hope you're not too worried about actual grades, but I know it's important for some students. Grading of Final Project will consider:
- Clarity of writing and document "hygiene" (spelling, formatting, tidiness)
- Well-justified decision-making, with use of lessons from the course/book
- Sample size justification (OK if assumptions are not unrealistic, but logic should be solid)
- Revisions suggested by small group leaders on homework assignments
Grading for the Course will also factor in small group participation and homework quality.
