Thanks for the comments Ilya and the nice Roth review reference. My read on the epigenetics and SDoH literature is that it is still a bit "wild west" with a lot of exploratory research, underpowered studies, selective publication, and inconsistent replication. That is normal in the early stages of a field, but I would read the literature with a lot of caution at this point. It's a very powerful model if it is true!
