The purpose of this seminar is to help students develop the professional skills necessary to succeed as a sociologist. This class will cover topics such as the peer-reviewed publication process, networking, grants and fellowships, understanding the job market, and science communication. This class will be lecture and discussion based and include presentations from outside speakers as appropriate.
