The UCSF Institute for Global Health Sciences (IGHS) offers the Global Health Curriculum Bootcamp as a professional development program for Bay Area high school teachers who want to incorporate global health into their curricula. The Bootcamp aims to build capacity among teachers to educate high school students on the global health issues that impact their own lives (such as the COVID-19 pandemic). Teachers have the opportunity to work with global health professionals and education experts at UCSF to develop curriculum tailored for their own students. Because global health involves multiple disciplines, the Bootcamp is open to teachers of any subject, including science, history, geography, economics, and more.
