Hi - I just had a couple of general clarifications regarding question 3: 

1) Can we assume/use the pre-test probability given in 3a for 3b and 3c?

2) Are we allowed to use ANY information from the original table (i.e. table 3) to answer problem 3c, or are we LITERALLY limited to the information provided in the simplified table?

Dear Kristen,

Yes!  Assume the pre-test probability is 30% for (b) and (c).  For (c), it doesn't actually make any difference (that's a hint), but you should only use the information in the simplified table.  Remember, for this part, assume you don't know the actual BNP level, just that it's < 500.
