Hi Meghan,
Your proposed research questions are very interesting, particularly your last question about the association between location of residence and death from CLRD. One potentially unique aspect of studying Native American populations and location of residence is the existence of Indian reservations. I do not know very much about reservations, and would be curious to know what percentage of Native Americans live on one, and if that percentage is small, whether those individuals should be included in your example study. I would also be curious to know whether all reservations are considered rural, and if so, are there any differences in health disparities between Native American individuals who live in (rural) reservations vs. a non-reservation rural area.
