Some help please

Some help please

Hello friends,

I think I may be having some technical difficulties and would love some assistance if any of you know the answers.

1) I do not see a way to upload Assigment #1 once I am in the "assigment 1 upload" page.

2) I do not believe that I received an email activating a MyResearch account for me. I went to the UCSF IT website and requested this access last week and have not heard back. Any thoughts?

Thanks all

-Martin

Hello Martin,

1) Please try your submission again. You should now see a "Submit" button towards the bottom of the screen. If you don't see it, please let us know.

2) MyResearch isn't managed by UCSF IT but by Academic Research Systems (ARS). (Still, UCSF IT could have helped out by telling you that.) Contact ARS at its-arssupport@ucsf.edu and they should be able to help you sort out your MyResearch account. Again, please let us know if any problems there - MyResearch will be an important part of this class.

best,

../josh

Hi Martin and Josh,

I too was never contacted about activating a MyResearch account. I tried signing up through the link on https://myresearch.ucsf.edu/myresearch but had difficulties. Martin, did you get this figured out by emailing them?

Jennifer (and anyone else who is having this problem) - if you haven't received MyResearch credentials from ARS, or if you have credentials but still unable to use MyTransfer, REDCap or the MyResearch tools, email Dale Ross at Dale.Ross@ucsf.edu. Let him know that you're a student in EPI 218. If that doesn't solve your problems fairly quickly email me and let me know.

OK, I got MyResearch access. It turned out I had to sign a DocuSign HIPAA document...But the only app MyResearch contains for me is RedCAP. Isn't it supposed to have Excel and other stuff? Thanks--

Carol: Yes, you do need Excel and the other apps in your MyResearch. I don't know why you're not seeing those, but Dale Ross/ARS can help you get those.
