Part 2, section I

Hi all,

I can't quite figure out what Part 2, Section I is asking.

The original text read: "Generates a variable that indicates whether each participant ever seroconverted during follow-up"

I see that the correction in the announcement/lecture is: "i.e., include patients who were HIV+ at baseline as “ever HIV+”.  We should not have used the term "seroconverted".

What is the question asking? Number of patients who seroconverted from negative to positive? Number of HIV positive patients? Number of patients who started follow up as HIV positive? Would greatly appreciate if someone can re-phrase!

Thanks,

Katherine

Hi Katherine,

The question is asking you to create a new variable that captures whether patient was ever positive, i.e. both patients who were positive since baseline and patients who became positive at some point during follow-up.

Sorry about the wording being tricky.
