Hi there, my name is Kate Oppegaard, call me Kate!

I am a second year PhD student in the Department of Physiological Nursing at UCSF. I have a small grant that I was recently awarded for which I will be working on my own study, which is an extension of my mentor's study. I have some of the data already (demographic and clinical characteristics), and the genomic portion of the data will be forthcoming in this academic year. The research question is "are changes in gene expression associated with higher levels of co-occurring cancer-related cognitive impairment and anxiety in outpatients receiving chemotherapy?" I am looking forward to exploring my data and becoming comfortable interpreting it and talking about it with others. See everyone soon!
