Hello, everyone!
My name is Devika, and I'm a doctor living in the San Francisco Bay Area. I'm originally from Kerala, India, and I moved to the United States in 2015. I'm interested in implementation science, and I'm presently working on a secondary data analysis with my research team on primary care factors influencing disease outcomes in patients with chronic illnesses. I'm definitely looking forward to working with everyone!
Hi Devika,
I'd love to hear more about any specific chronic illnesses in which you hope to study! I work with patients who have sickle cell disease and thalassemia and when it comes to health outcomes, there's such an interesting intersection between the available therapeutics and access/implementation. Looking forward to learning more about how to use implementation science to improve access and outcomes!

Hi Madhav!
So nice to meet you. Thank you so much for reaching out! Your research area seems quite interesting. I'm presently doing a subgroup analysis of a main research study (already done) to determine the impact of clinic quality scores (practice characteristics) on chronic outcomes in Type 2 DM patients. These are fairly new areas for me. In the future, if time permits, I would like to learn more about action plan quality in uncontrolled T2DM patients in Community Health Centers (CHCs) implementing either Connection To Health (CTH) or Enhanced Engagement-CTH (EE-CTH) self-management support programs. I'd love to learn more from you and the other students in this course, as I'm new to the field of research :)
Best,
Devika
