My name is Ashley, I am a second year nephrology fellow at UCSF. I am currently designing a study with my mentor to examine disparities within chronic kidney disease that arise due to language barriers. We will be utilizing the NHANES database as well as plan to collect our own data via patient surveys. We are currently in the study design phase of my project. Otherwise, I love food and especially food I make in my own kitchen! I love cooking and learning how to do things from scratch. I have never been much of a baker because I always assumed that meant baking cakes and such which is just not my thing...but I am starting to learn more about just how much more broad the term baking actually is and am currently learning to make pastries often incorporating fruits I find which are new to me. Trying new fruits is a huge passion of mine so its so fun combining these two things!
