Hello all,

I will be TA'ing for the course this term, and wanted to help facilitate forming student groups for the class group project (i.e. the group literature reviews). As a reminder, this deliverable project for this class is a literature review on a topic that interests you, which are to be completed in teams, and be ready for journal submission by the end of the ten week course. We are aiming for groups of four students in each project team.

To help facilitate this, can you reply to this thread with 3 fields/topics that you may be interested in to complete a literature review on as teams? Please complete this by Monday, Jan 10th.

On Monday I will take the most common shared topics, and use them to make a sign up list where you may form the final groups. We plan to have these groups finalized by the time of our next class meeting, on Wednesday, Jan 12th, when we will discuss more resources on completing literature reviews.

Thank you all,
Sepehr

Hi all,

My fields/ topics:
1) Geographical accessibility of care in cancer health. E.g. how does distance to primary or specialized care (from where individual resides) affect cervical cancer survival? Or how distance to care is conceptualized in terms of cancer prevention and treatment?
2) Cancer prevention during Covid-19 pandemic. E.g. how cancer incidence rates or stage at diagnosis trends changed during the pandemic, specifically by race/ethnicity groups and occupation?
3) Mental health in school-aged children during Covid-19 pandemic. E.g. how schools in-person learning interruption affected mental health of children? Would be interesting to accumulate available data, especially by age, race/ethnicity, SES subgroups. And to compare data between countries and health systems.
