Announcements from today’s class:
We are targeting March 10th (last class) as in-person. We are excited to have the opportunity to meet you in person and hope you are able to attend, especially with this early notice
Homework Reminders:
- Please use standard naming format for your HW files. We recommend: LastnameFirstname_HW#, for example: GoldbergSarah_HW2
- It is OK to work in groups, but please write answers in your own words, and put group member names on top of HW with your name
- If you are skipping a HW assignment to use the “one pass” option, please tell TAs
- Please remember that all of you are expected to abide by the Honor Code, which means that you agree to the following:
“I will maintain the highest standards of academic honesty. I will not use answer keys from prior years
Problem Sets: I am permitted to consult with other classmates, but I will write final answers in my own words away from other classmates
Final Examination: I will neither give nor receive aid in examinations”
Please do NOT use any answer keys that may be available to you in doing the homework/exams. The act of “cheating” in a class is mainly cheating yourself out of the opportunity to learn. If anyone feels pressure to cheat, for whatever reason, we urge you instead to reach out - to us, your advisors, your program coordinators, contacts in student wellness etc. We are here to support your overall learning and success, and cheating is not the right path to that goal.
