Dear Students,
We finished grading the final exams (except one) and have entered tentative scores on the CLE. I think you should be able to see your own scores. The mean was 83. Top score 102.5. I also posted the key.
Here's what happens next:
I download all of the HW scores and exam scores into Stata, drop the worst HW and compute tentative final course score as the average of remaining HW % correct scores and the final. For those taking it for a letter grade, it's usually about 90%+ overall for an A, 80-89.9 for a B, 70-79.9 for a C, 60-69 for a D, but these cutoffs move a few points depending on the distribution. I keep the exams because if someone is very close to the cutoff for a higher grade, I look over their exam and see if I can find an additional point or two to push them up to a higher grade.
I should be done with this by the end of next week; I'll try for sooner.
