I will not have enough data collected for my research project by the time the final project for this course. Do you have any recommendations of where to get a database to use for the final project? My mentor does not have anything readily available.
My perspective is a bit biased because I mostly do research on breast cancer, but here are two potential datasets that are publicly available:
BCSC screening dataset, should be cleaned and the site has extensive annotations about what the variables mean. Should be amenable to simple data analysis, just need to obtain permission (which I don't think is hard for academics):

TCGA has clinical data available for a variety of cancers, but the site is more difficult to navigate and the clinical data elements less well-defined.

I can help you with either if needed, and if any other students/course staff have ideas that would be great too!

Great question Carling!
Here is a mega-list of some open access databases. NHANES is a classic for pediatric data, AHRQ has some cool data on healthcare quality, and there are a bunch more.

Good luck!
