When you visit the learning materials for September 2, you'll note that there are two large PowerPoint presentations that you can review. Unfortunately, there were some problems with the Articulate system and those presentations, so they have no narrative to accompany the slides. There are also two articles for reading. We suggest that you read the two articles, but you can quickly scan through the two PowerPoints.
The first portion of the class session will be a lecture that summarizes both the articles and the PowerPoints. The quiz questions and the final exam questions for the laser section will be taken directly from the class lecture. However, you will be better prepared after you read the two articles.
