issue with figure when converting word to PDF

issue with figure when converting word to PDF

I took my finished figure and pasted it onto a Microsoft word document without any issues.  However, when I then converted the Microsoft word document to a PDF for submission for the final project, the legend that I put on the y-axis (percentage), goes away and does not show up on the PDF (as it does show up on the word document correctly).  Not sure why this is happening and cant seem to figure out how to fix that.  Is it okay if perhaps with my submission I also just submit the figure generated directly from Stata and/or are there other suggestions as to how to get around this?  Thanks so much!

Is the y-axis outside of the printable margin of the Word document? Try looking into the printing or PDF conversion settings and making sure you scale the page to a size that fits everything on one page.

Did you try exporting the graph as a PDF directly from Stata?

Cool, that worked to go right from Stata to a PDF, and then copy and paste that PDF into a word and then convert back to a PDF (so I could have my legend under my figure).  Thanks!  Eric
