I have access to Stata MP at work, but from the intro letter, it sounds like we need to have a copy on our laptop for work?
If you can't access Stata MP using your laptop, you won't be able to take advantage of the computer lab part of our course. You may be able to use the Stata terminal server during computer lab, but it is often slow and less reliable when many people are using it. So, definitely better to have your own copy...but you may be able to get by.
