I am interested in the study of MCI and Dementia in this area among structural factors it is important to take into consideration education, gender, etc. Lower educational level has been associated with a higher risk of Dementia, at same time intermediary factors like the health system, access to care influences in a variety ways, for example, better access to care and a more inclusive care will decrease the frequency of risk factors related to dementia like HBP, Diabetes, CVD, etc.
Evidence has shown that early exposure in life modify the expression of different Non-Communicable diseases, even when they are corrected in during middle life, this is also true on mental health which is influenced not only by individual attributes but also by the social circumstances in which persons find themselves and they have developed. For example, childhood years are vital for developing life skills and negative experiences within the home or at school have a damaging effect on the development of these core cognitive and emotional skills. Supportive parenting, a secure home life and a positive learning environment in schools are key protective factors in building and protecting mental well-being or capital at this stage of life.
