Hi, students --
I know it's late, but I had clinic this PM and am just catching up. Here are my answers to a couple of questions about the exam:
ANSWER re 10c: Not exactly, and I am having trouble rephrasing.
Ask yourself does the comparison reassure you that there are no excess complications in the screened group? If not, give 2 reasons why not.
Does that help?

QUESTION re 10c:
I am having trouble with the wording of question 10C (the double negative)
What are at least 2 reasons this comparison does not provide evidence "against" excess complications in the screened group.
Does that mean give 2 reasons this comparison does not provide evidence for excess complications in the usual care group?
Thank you!
ANSWER re: Q 11
A positive test for hearing loss is when they can't hear the fingers rubbing.

QUESTION re #11
I'm having trouble figuring out the tables.
For the first table of CALFRAST tests and audiometry:
True Positives are those people who have a positive result on the CALFRAST (meaning they heard the fingers rubbing) and had a positive result for normal hearing on audiometry?
For the second table of self-assessment of hearing and audiometry:
True positives are those who thought their hearing was normal and received a positive result for normal hearing on audiometry? So true normal hearing by self-assessment and audiometry?
Thanks.
