Kristen - given the Markdoc glitch for PC that graphs are not displayed in the pdf, can we submit a docx or html instead?

Yes, you are welcome to submit as a docX or html

For fun, you can also try exporting as a tex and then copy & paste to OverLeaf

I did this for the last lab. But I found that when you export, not always has the formatting that you want. So I used an existing template and did the lab in that form; however, you have to be familiar with the tex syntax to format it in certain Style, or to enter figures, tables, etc. So I was wondering, what is the advantage of using a *.tex editor (web or desktop version) vs a regular word processor (i.e Microsoft Word) ?

The advantage of using LaTeX is that you can focus on the content and let the program take care of formatting.

However, I agree that when you are learning (myself included!) it takes a lot of time to learn LaTeX syntax.

Here is a very brief introduction to OverLeaf:

And LaTeX using OverLeaf:

I recently learned that OverLeaf has a rich text viewing option (check out the first video), so you don't have to enter content using the source code (which is a little overwhelming!)
