This course will introduce students to economic concepts and financial tools critical for creating value in health care management. The intent of this course is to foster an appreciation of the economic perspective of viewing problems, the proper use of basic economic supply and demand principles as applied to health administration decision making, and introduction to and the proper use of basic financial tools that students can apply to real world situations and use to support decisions they have to make as managers.
