Here is a brief overview of the PER worksheet domains we discussed for my project in small group:
- Tool type: join a group
- Target population: patients in HIV care who miss appointments
- Target behavior: acceptance of HIV status group disclosure process
- Precede category: Predisposing/Enabling/Reinforcing
- social nature of intervention has components in all three domains. Education changes predisposing factors for influencing behavior change (knowledge, self-efficacy). Support from group members in the form of material or psychosocial support is enabling. Group reminders, encouragement is reinforcing.
- Platform: groups (multiple types – new groups, existing groups, patient-recruited, CHW-recruited)
