I am a Master's in Advanced Studies student, and have used RStudio for statistical computing over the past several years. I understand STATA is more often used here at UCSF, but I am wondering whether you have tips to help me maintain my skills in R / reduce redundancy in my education, while also fulfilling the requirements of the Master's. Should I also try to do assignments in R? Is there someone who could help look over that code with me?
Hi Michelle,
TICR actually offers a whole different series of biostat classes in R. Many of the courses are necessary for those interested in the data science track. Since this course focuses on the basics of statistical computing in STATA and not R, it is not necessary for you to turn in or do any HW using R.
Hope this helps!
