Working in groups

Hi All,

It was proposed by a student that we work in groups in order to facilitate a better learning experience. Please feel free to share contact info and collaborate on HW assignments and labs. Some may find that working with others who are already familiar with STATA may be beneficial to learning the program.

I totally agree with that proposal. Sign me up, I personally am not comfortable with Stata so I'll need all the help I can possibly get.

In my experience, the TICR program or individual courses do not directly facilitate or organize student led study groups in addition to class or lab time.. Getting to know each other is a bit more challenging due to the pandemic and lack of in person gatherings. My suggestion would be for student(s) to take initiative and organize a drop in slack channel or similar and exchange chats or personal emails to work on problems together. 75+ me too responses are not going to set that up automatically. ; p

Hi we do have a slack channel, it's specifically for those in the MAS TICR program: masucsf.slack.com (https://join.slack.com/t/masucsf/shared_invite/zt-ggchwrio-N9sFsw7F70UaGbXsmyQOvA).

There is a dedicated channel to this class in the slack.
