Hi DCR - We're getting close to the end of the course!  This week is dedicated to data collection and data management.  We have 2 lectures on related topics: designing data collection forms, and a new lecture on questionnaires (instruments to collect self-reported measurements).  The questionnaires lecturer, Alison Huang, will be joining us for the Tuesday 9am session.

Assignment 6 is posted.  The assignment, as usual, is very much geared towards nuts-and-bolts practical decisions and issues you'll need to address if you are doing a primary data collection study.  For the first two parts of the homework (1 page of data collection form you are designing, and the data dictionary for that form), it will be MUCH more useful and interesting for you if you complete it for a primary data collection study.  If the primary study you are designing and working up for the 5-page protocol is NOT a primary data collection study, consider focusing on a different study for this assignment so you'll get the most out of the homework.

Meanwhile, keep polishing and filling out your draft Final Project.  You'll have some dedicated time during Week 7 to get help with that, so the further you can get before the Week 7 small group, the better.

Office Hours tomorrow (Friday) in the usual time slot at 10:10-11:00am.  See you there, or at least on Tuesday at 9am.
