Hi Ashley! So nice to "e-meet" you. I am so curious to hear about your qualitative work especially in a global health/public health setting. What topics do you study?

Wow Minnesota to SF! What is your favorite part about the west coast so far?

Best,
Priya

Hi Priya,

Wonderful to connect to you as well :).

With Dr. Diamond-Smith, I'm currently supporting the analysis of a pilot intervention that targeting improving women's status and health among newly married households in Nepal. With Dr. El Ayadi I'll be supporting a new project she has investigating health outcomes and opportunities following the repair of obstetric fistulae among women in Uganda.

What topics are you most interested in or planning to study during your time at UCSF?

We've loved the coast so far. The weather has been favorable and we're in a sunnier spot within the Bay which we're grateful for. It's also been a great relief to be in a place where a majority of the population practices similar values related to the pandemic (seeing people in masks and practicing distancing).

How long have you been in the area?

Ashley
