Figure/analysis question

Hi!

adding to the stream of questions:

- For either of our table/figure, do we need to do a regression/statistical analysis that will give us a p-value/confidence interval etc etc? Is it ok if the analysis we are doing for this final project is a cluster analysis using K-means and then doing a scatter plot?

thanks!

Kellie,

1) No, you do not NEED to do any statistical analysis for your table.  However, if you believe that it would be appropriate to conduct such an analysis please include it.  For example, if your point is just to provide descriptive statistics, then you don't really need p-values.  However, you are trying to show a difference between groups then p-values are appropriate.

2) Cluster analysis and scatter plots are just fine.  However, please make sure to properly label the graphs and axis so we know what you are graphing.  Generally a legend is also helpful here.
