Opening the log files...

Hi!

This seems sort of silly, but what program should we be using to open the ".smcl" log files? I am trying to create my PDF document, but when I use textedit or word to open my log files they look really ugly. Any suggestions? It hasn't mattered to this point bc we've just been uploading the log files themselves, not making a separate document.

Thanks,

Rachel

I've just been opening the log files themselves in Stata, then copy/paste into a Word document, then convert to PDF

I found that opening the file in Stata and highlighting and then right clicking for "Copy Picture" tends to generate something that looks decent. It's got the hassle of sizing the picture appropriately, which I did by just copying smaller segments into pictures, but the format was preserved at least. Wouldn't be surprised if there was a better way to do it though!
