Dear PT 211 students:

**NOTE: SLIGHT TIME CHANGE FOR THIS WEEK – PRESENTATIONS WILL START PROMPTLY AT 9:20AM TO ACCOMMODATE INSTRUCTOR TRAVEL FROM ANOTHER TEACHING SESSION IN HSW**

This week, we'll be emphasizing (to an even greater degree) the interprofessional nature of this course.  So we'll kick things off with your teach-back presentations – see assignment instructions here.  Last year’s cohort approached this very creatively and in the course reviews, said that reviewing the PT therapies helped them to solidify the key course concepts as well as to better prepare for clinicals.  Our intent is that we learn from one another.

I heard some confusion in the discussions about this so am clarifying that your group name (a specific drug we’ve covered this term) and your presentation topic (a common PT therapy) are not purposefully related.  In your presentation, you can focus generally on medicine effects (eg, the standup paddleboarding example on assignment sheet).

Just to confirm each presentation is 5 mins, no more than 3 slides (not including your title slide), and you should feel free to demonstrate if feasible.  Please upload your PowerPoints (1 file/group using this file naming scheme - GROUPNAME_TREATMENTNAME_2016) at the designated CLE link by 8AM on 4/21 so that the TAs can get them downloaded, queued up, and ready to go in time for class.

If you will not be in class this week due to a previously communicated conflict, please contribute to your group’s preparation and also to help us continue to grow… post to the CLE forum any additional therapies you’d like to see included in the teach-back exercise for next year.

After the teach-back and break, we'll appeal to your competitive natures with a Jeopardy-style review of the key learning objectives for the course.  That should leave you feeling very prepared for your final exam next week - and might even be fun.

Any questions?  If so, please do post these to the question forum.
