Hi, Students!

In section last week one of the students asked for a reference (besides EBD)  for our emphasis on confidence intervals rather than power once studies have been completed.

I uploaded such a reference to the Optional Reading for the November 10 lecture:

"The Abuse of Power: The Pervasive Fallacy of Power Calculations for Data Analysis" by JM Hoenig and DM Helsey. The American Statistician, Vol. 55, No. 1 (Feb., 2001), pp. 19-24.

Happy Thanksgiving!
