Nice work - great to see your thinking about this come through. I probably wasn't explicit enough but what is the framework you are invoking to formulate these questions?  I guess I need to think more about how to articulate the use of frameworks here, but the intent is that the theories and frameworks we do have offer a somewhat systematic approach to understanding the problem and applying them will help our approach be more comprehensive or deeper.  I don't know is that makes sense but talk more about it tomorrow.

Hi Asa,

I think this is a good start but more specific questions leading into why you may think this is such a barrier could be useful. Utilizing a framework such as the COM-B to guide you in the development of these questions would be helpful in regards to your intervention. I did enjoy seeing your thought process through your questions and I think asking the patients as well as the clinicians is important for the success of your intervention.

Hi - I also had trouble figuring out this homework, and getting a feel for what type of data we're trying to collect.

In terms of a framework, your focus on provider barriers could fit well with the COM-B model. Several of your reasons for not referring patients have to do with motivation. The diffusion of innovations framework could also have some insights. What do you see with the early adopters of self-testing? Are they successful? Are they people who are likely to be emulated by their colleagues?

Look forward to discussing in more detail tomorrow.
