Dear Epidemiology 212 enrollees,
As you know, we have a special final session of this course planned on Tuesday (June 6), involving a panel of 5 senior UCSF professors who are also editors-in-chief or deputy editors at major peer-reviewed clinical research journals, who will share their insights on the manuscript submission and review process.
This is a good session to attend in person, to make sure you can hear what all of the editors have to say, and take advantage of the opportunity to pose your own questions to the editors. We may have a few other TICR students, alumni, or faculty joining us for this session.
Please also remember that your final projects are due the day before class (Monday, June 5) by 5 pm. You have a choice of uploading either a research poster powerpoint file, a set of slides for an oral research presentation, or a complete manuscript draft.
If you choose to submit a complete manuscript draft, don't forget to indicate on the cover page the specific section for which you would like focused feedback.
Those of you who haven't yet received feedback on your last assignment addressing the visual display of research data will receive it soon.
Looking forward to a great conclusion to this course!
Thanks and best wishes,
Alison Huang
