Hello Pharmacy Students:
We would like to invite pharmacy students to come to participate in a 1 hour collaborative treatment planning exercise with psychiatric nurse practitioner students. This will occur on Wednesday, February 14th, from 12pm-1pm in CL-221/222 (2nd floor of the library). This is a component of a larger initiative to encourage collaboration between clinical pharmacists and psychiatric nurse practitioners to address the psychiatric provider shortage.
This will be a case-based, small group exercise. You will be matched with one or more psychiatric nurse practitioner students and you will read a clinical case study together. Then, drawing on your perspective as a pharmacy student, you will contribute to the assessment and treatment plan.
This is an excellent opportunity to develop interprofessional collaboration skills that you will be able to use in the workforce (not to mention your training)! Also, there will be FREE FOOD!
We welcome any pharmacy student open to completing the exercise to participate. Free food will be provided. We especially encourage those who have participated in the interprofessional psychiatric journal club to come, as participation in this exercise is another component of our CP/PMHNP student joint training program certificate. For more information about the journal club, see our new CLE site at https://courses.ucsf.edu/course/view.php?id=5147.
Thank you and please direct any questions to me at chelsea.landolin@ucsf.edu!
Best wishes,
