We have investigated further into the potential discrepancies in results between the STATA commands (episensi) and the Lash spreadsheets that were identified during Dr. Mayeda's talk.
As we cannot resolve these completely, if you have not yet started the QBA HW, we recommend/encourage you to please use STATA for the assignment. If you have ALREADY started this assignment using the Lash spreadsheets, that is OK. We will review/grade it. If you have any questions about the Lash spreadsheets, please shoot me an email and/or come to my office hour next week.
I believe the Lash spreadsheets don't offer as much flexibility as the episensi command and are mostly useful for simple scenarios. If you are not STATA-fluent, we still encourage you to use it. This is a great opportunity to familiarize yourself with it a bit more. Plus, there are many online resources to help you with it so just google it. You can also ask your classmates and ourselves.
