Most assignments can be completed with either Excel or TreeAge. We slightly prefer TreeAge but you may choose whichever you like more. Dr. Marseille and I will be leading simultaneous tutorials for Excel and TreeAge, respectively, during class today from 3:15-4. After a brief intro to the pros/cons of each together, we'll be splitting into breakout rooms. We'll do our best to record both sessions. From 4-5, we'll stay on to chat if you have questions about the course, homework, or ideas for your own projects, but attendance is completely optional.
Please take steps to get access to TreeAge, if you don't have access already: https://it.ucsf.edu/service/rae. From my Mac, I'm able to login via Microsoft Remote Desktop (this is also how you would access Stata for other courses if you didn't purchase an individual license).
