This was noted live in class by Dr. Mayeda.
On slides 43 & 47, due to challenges with Dr. Mayeda's formula writing software, a part of the formula didn't turn out as she wished. In particular the capital "D" in the formulas should be sub-scripted. This is shown correctly in point 2 on slide 43 in the formula for the Selection Bias Factor, but then incorrectly at the bottom of that slide and slide 47.
To recap, the formula does not include "SD" (which could be mistaken for "standard deviation"), instead, imagine the capital D is a subscript. Unfortunately, the forum browser also does not allow me to write subscripts, so see picture below.
